In an attempt to boost adoption rates for the local cats and dogs at its animal shelter, SPCA Selangor (Malaysia) in collaboration with Radioactive is embarking on the "Love Knows No Pedigree" campaign. This 6-month long project aims to create awareness on animal welfare as well as nurture a sense of respect and love for local cats and dogs via visual expression graphics and t-shirts as the main channel of communication. At the end of the mission, we want to achieve something intriguing and touching that will resonate with a diverse audience by blending art, design, lifestyle and compassion towards animals.
The campaign will be launched on the 17th of March 2007 (Sat) at 12pm at the Rainforest Area of the One Utama shopping centre. Character artists Actiontintoy and Plushism and a host of local celebrities will participate to show their support and concern for homeless animals, including Channel [V] VJ Dom, Jason Lo (hitz.fm DJ), Rina Omar (8TV host), Pop Shuvit, Disagree, Y2K, One Buck Short, DJ Blink, DJ Goldfish and more !
Various activities will be held from 12.30 - 5pm. Highlights include a SPCA Adoption Fest booth where local cats, dogs, kittens and puppies will be available for adoption, donation-based photography session with the celebrities in attendance, live performance by professional Yo-Yo players, free vet consultation session, and pet grooming demonstration & services by House of Groomers.

Good news for all the New Balance lovers, the much talked about New Balance 576 "Leftover" are hitting the New Balance outlets in Malaysia. New Balance utilized some left over material from their cutting room floor to make a series of 576’s in 3 different colourways - brown, green and blue. Take a close look at the shoes and you will notice the reverse colourway on each side.
The above brown ones will be the first to drop at New Balance Malaysia outlets for RM699 (around USD188). They will also be launched at Leftfoot and other New Balance outlets in Singapore as well.
